Bealach-na-Ba Challenge
The Bealach na Ba Challenge is an annual cycling event that covers 90 miles and over 3000 ft of ascent over Britain’s biggest road climb – the Bealach na Ba. It rises from sea level to nearly 2000ft in only six miles and has recently proved a magnet for sporting cyclists looking for an Alpine test on home soil. Many entrants are 'old faces' from the previous year, out to better their times.

The event has the support of local communities with the villages of Kinlochewe, Lochcarron, Applecross and Shieldaig all contributing to the success of the event. Cyclists from all over the UK and abroad have praised the warm welcome and hospitality that they receive during their Highland sojourn. Many return for a more gentle visit with their families, having been so impressed with the dramatic scenery in the area.
