Walking

Lochcarron is a traditional Highland village set along the shores of Loch Carron. This makes it very suitable for easy strolls along the length of the village.

However, for those who want something more demanding there are a variety of walks that are accessible from Sgurr Alasdair - your Highland holiday cottage - that range from 3 km to 12 km. These include:

• The 3 km walk to Cnoc na Staing Viewpoint above the village providing panoramic views across Loch Carron to the magnificent mountains beyond.
• The 6 km walk along the banks of the River Carron and through native woodland.
• The 12 km walk around Ardaneaskan and Reraig through modern forest with modest ascents.
